One on One Reading Intervention

One on one targeted reading intervention sessions are structured, direct, explicit, and systematic instructional sessions that focus on phonemic awareness, decoding, fluency, and comprehension. These sessions are guided by an initial individual assessment, with progress monitoring and a final assessment to follow, to ensure personalized and effective support for the child.

Lessons for Children

Reading intervention sessions are designed for elementary-aged children in kindergarten through grade 6 who may be at-risk for reading challenges due to factors such as family history or a diagnosed ADHD, or who have a pre-established diagnosis of a reading disorder

  • Improve Reading Skills

Reading intervention classes provide targeted instruction to help students improve their reading skills. These classes focus on areas such as phonics, fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary, helping students become confident and skilled readers.

  • Prevent Learning Loss

Research shows that students can experience learning loss over the summer months. By participating in reading intervention classes during the summer, students can maintain and even improve their reading abilities, preventing any regression that might occur.

  • Fill in Skill Gaps

Some students may have specific areas of weakness in their reading abilities. Reading intervention classes can identify and address these skill gaps, providing targeted instruction to help students catch up and succeed.

  • Increase Confidence

For students who struggle with reading, participating in reading intervention classes can boost their confidence. Through targeted instruction and practice, students can see their progress and feel more confident in their reading abilities.
